Set your collection preferences

1 min read•Updated Jul 21, 2026

Overview

Use collection preferences to make Docs Home feel personal without changing what your teammates see. You can hide collections you don’t need and favorite the ones you open most. Your choices affect only your view.

When to use it

  • Reduce clutter by hiding collections that aren’t relevant to your work.
  • Keep important collections at your fingertips by marking them as favorites.
  • Personalize your Docs Home without changing the team’s default layout.

How to use it

  1. Open Docs Home.
  2. Find the collection card you want to change.
  3. Click the card’s menu (three dots •••) in the top-right corner.
  4. To keep a collection handy, select Favorite. The card will show a star and may appear in a Favorites row (if available) or sort to the top of your view.
  5. To remove a collection from your view, select Hide. The card disappears from your Docs Home.
  6. To undo a choice later, open the same menu on the card (for favorites) or use the Docs Home filters to show hidden items, then select Unfavorite or Unhide.

Options and settings

  • Favorite: Pins a collection to your personal view and marks it with a star.
  • Hide: Removes a collection from your personal Docs Home. It does not delete or change access.
  • Unfavorite / Unhide: Reverses your preference and returns the collection to normal.
  • Per-user only: Your preferences do not affect teammates or the team layout.

Tips

  • If you can’t find a collection after hiding it, use the Docs Home filter or “Show hidden” option to bring it back.
  • Use favorites for collections you open weekly; hide collections tied to projects you’ve finished.
  • You can change these settings anytime—nothing is permanent and nothing affects the repository or team view.
